Entitlements/Eminent Domain Project Manager

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management of both land development entitlements and eminent domain projects. Land development entitlements may include local comprehensive plan amendments, zoning amendments, preliminary subdivision plans, preliminary development plans and similar regulatory processes that are prerequisite to final engineering design and permitting. Eminent domain projects may include representation and support of the legal team representing either the property owner or the condemning authority.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and processing of entitlement applications and supporting documentation
  • Author technical reports such as due diligence reports, feasibility reports, eminent domain parcel analysis reports, and technical memoranda
  • Prepare and oversee development of drawings, reports, cost estimates and other project deliverables
  • Client representation at meetings and public hearings
  • Provide expert witness testimony in legal proceedings
  • Prepare and participate in client meetings and presentations
  • Project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, coordination of outside consultants, project tracking and project billing
  • Provide leadership and guidance for project team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field
  • Florida Professional Engineering license

Civil Engineering Project Manager

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management of multiple concurrent land development projects, which may include residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, resort, recreation, infrastructure, and attraction.

Responsibilities:

  • Project coordination from inception to completion, including due diligence, planning, entitlements, civil engineering design, regulatory permitting and approvals through local, state and federal permitting agencies and construction administration support
  • Project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, coordination of outside consultants, project tracking and project billing
  • Prepare and oversee civil engineering design for site geometry, grading, drainage, roadway, water distribution, wastewater collection/transmission, parks and other civil improvements
  • Prepare and oversee development of design drawings, technical specifications, reports, cost estimates and other project deliverables
  • Analyze technical information, perform engineering calculations, and advance design concepts into effective and financially feasible engineering designs
  • Author technical reports such as due diligence reports, feasibility reports, design reports, and technical memoranda
  • Provide technical support throughout all project stages from request for proposal through final design and construction

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the preparation of maps, illustrative exhibits, plans and civil construction drawings for residential commercial, resort and industrial site development projects and for infrastructure improvement projects, including roadways, drainage, utilities and parks for private and public sector projects.

  • Proficiency in the use of 3DS Max, SketchUp and/or ArcGIS is beneficial but not required.

Survey and Mapping Technician

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for production of land surveys and supporting documents through close coordination with the firm’s professional surveying and engineering staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Process conventional field notes and digitally collected data, analyze field data, perform deed/utility research, prepare final survey documents/exhibits and interact with survey field crews.
  • Embrace new technologies including production of 3D point clouds created from data collected conventionally and with Drones (UAV), LiDAR, photogrammetry and Global Positioning Systems.
  • Interpret legal descriptions, survey maps, subdivision plats and construction drawings.
  • Compute, process and map field data in an organized and comprehensive manner.
  • Perform QA/QC checks on work performed by self and others.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Training Certifications (CST, MOT, CPR, first aid, etc.) desirable.
  • Degree in Surveying and Mapping, Geomatics, GIS or civil engineering a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with surveying and mapping technologies.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Word, Excel and Outlook required.

Land Survey Project Manager

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the management of multiple concurrent land survey projects, including preparation of boundary, topographic, ALTA/ACSM, right-of-way, horizontal/vertical control, GIS, geodetic, bathometric, as-built, underground utilities, and various other types of surveys as well as preliminary and final plats, condominium documents, and legal descriptions.

  • Preparation of survey drawings from field data using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Preparation, checking and processing of field data

Land Survey Crew Chief

Summary:

The successful candidate for this position will be experienced with supervisory skills to oversee a survey field crew and perform various assigned tasks associated with gathering field data for the preparation of land surveys.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a survey field crew in acquiring data for the preparation of ALTA surveys, topographic surveys, as-built surveys, etc.
  • Perform construction stakeout and project control networks for large developments
  • Operate Total Stations, GPS (static, RTK, and RTN) and automatic levels
  • Interpret subdivision plats, construction plans and right-of-way maps
  • Perform mathematical calculations and verify field computations
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions while performing work duties
  • Consistent punctuality and attendance are required
  • Exhibit commitment to excellence in work performance
  • Work will sometime require use of a machete, shovel, sledgehammer, and other appropriate tools

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid and insurable Florida Driver’s License
